About the project

About the project

The SUMMER ECLIPSE summer school (Summer Educational Courses in Łódź – Institutional Paradigm in Studying Economics) is an intensive international educational programme run by the Faculty of Economics and Sociology at the University of Łódź as part of the NAWA SPINAKER programme.
Project duration: 1 September 2025–31 July 2026.

Project objectives:

  • To increase the internationalisation of education at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology.
  • To promote the Master’s programme in Economics among international students.
  • To trial a short-form course leading to a micro-credential.

The programme builds on the Faculty’s 25-year tradition of summer schools and addresses the decline in interest in second-cycle studies in a region experiencing increasing depopulation.
It also forms part of the University of Łódź’s strategy to increase the number of international students and develop modern forms of education.
